Commercial companies, their acquisitions, mergers, consolidation and sale are the core area of practice of PROFICIO Law Firm. The firm has represented clients in numerous significant transactions in the fields of real estate, automotive industry, energy, entertainment industry, tourism, marketing and information technology. In addition to transactions in Slovakia, the firm has, in cooperation with partner law firms, also managed several projects in Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany and Sweden.

This naturally includes contractual documentation related to the financing of acquisitions of real estate, companies, and construction; employment law matters (e.g. transfer of employees in connection with the transfer of employer activities). Related to the real estate agenda are issues of public procurement, expropriation, prohibition of land fragmentation, dealing with land managed by land associations, state and municipal property, agricultural and forest land.


The firm has prepared comprehensive contractual documentation in Slovak, English and German. For its clients, the firm also handles litigation, and in this area too, its experience has been enriched by several court proceedings conducted before Austrian courts.
